Cross-country region between tradition and modernity

The cross-country skiing has a long tradition in Brusson, but is also known for hosting international competitions. Right in the village there is the Three Village trail the so-called "Trois Villages", which takes in the three villages Arcesaz, Vollon and Extrepiéraz. The terrain is varied and changing in climbs and descents, but also open areas with great views and sections of forest with larch and pine forests.

Between Brusson and Estoul are about 30 km of trails for all levels, which are always maintained properly. In the case of loss of snow, a trail with artificial snow is available.

The two circular tracks on the plateau of Vollon with 5 and 7.5 km are fully competitive level and FIS homologated.

In addition to the cross country competitions, in Brusson also biathlon competitions take place. Since 2000 there is a shooting range in operation, which is approved for World Cup competitions, and already on the international and Italian championships were played.

The cross-counry center Foyer du Fond near the ancient village center and just below the summit of Mount Zerbion offers the athletes changing rooms, showers, growth rooms, a gymnasium and other services for sporting events (timing, competition office, press room, sick bay, etc.) .
