From biking and mountain carting in summer to tobogganing and skiing in winter: The Muttereralm adventure mountain high above Innsbruck lives up to its name in all seasons.

Whether summer or winter - up here at 1,600 metres, with the best view of Innsbruck and the Karwendel mountains, almost anything is possible for active holidaymakers and families. In the warm season, the reservoir offers numerous resting places with a view of the beautiful Inn Valley, at the adventure playground, children can play at the "magic water" with gutters, in ponds and on water wheels, or train their sense of touch on the barefoot paths in the exercise park. Various family-friendly hiking trails make nature lovers' hearts beat faster, while sporty two-wheeler fans get the action they are looking for on the numerous single trails in the Innsbruck Bike Park. If you run out of energy after all these activities, you can simply let it roll - in the mountain cart, a kind of downhill tricycle, for which a five-kilometre track has been specially cordoned off.

And in winter? The Muttereralm doesn't have to hide there either. In addition to a small network of ski slopes and a spacious children's area, there is a 4.7-kilometre-long sport toboggan run, a cosy family toboggan run and beautiful routes for ski tourers.
