In winter you can reach five ski-areas including 270 modern ropeways and 860 kilometres of slopesusing the free ski bus. Altenmarkt-Zauchensee is located at an altitude of 842 to 2.188 metres, guaranteeing snow from December to April.

If you prefer cross-country skiing, there are 250 kilometres of slopes for your enjoyment. Experts have awarded Altenmarkt-Zauchensee to the top three cross-country regions in Austria.
