WINTER SEASON 2021/22
December 03, 2021 - May 01, 2022
2 new D-LINE chairlifts
Silvrettaseilbahn AG and Bergbahnen Samnaun AG continued to invest in improving the comfort of the ski area and built the replacement systems VELILLECK F1 (6-seater chairlift with hood) and VISNITZ N2 (8-seater chairlift with hood) in summer 2019.
By the way: Ischgl was named the best ski area in 2019 by the Snow Plaza ski portal. A title to be defended!
6-seater chairlift VELILLECK F1 in Ischgl
The new F1 chairlift Velilleck will be the fastest chairlift in the Silvretta Arena Ischgl / Samnaun at 6 m/s from winter 2019/2020.
In future, it will lead over 16 round tube supports to the Pardatsch ridge. The new F1 chairlift is 1,353 m longer than the old Velilleck chairlift.
The new valley station (2,048 m) is at the same location, directly on ski slope no. 7. The new route will be turned slightly to the northeast. The mountain station of the Velilleckbahn will also be built near the mountain station of the Gratbahn B8 at 2,620 m.
From the pulley to the comfort seat upholstery, everything has been completely redesigned for the new Velilleckbahn. This time, the backs of the armchairs in the new facility are printed with plants from the surrounding nature. As with the Palinkopf and Gampen lifts, each chair is unique.
Maximum passenger comfort and quiet operation make the new Velilleckbahn first class. The new high-tech chairlift brings a number of noticeable improvements for our guests:
Ergonomically shaped individual seats
520 mm wide seats with heating
optimized safety striker
For a very quiet operation and thus special comfort for our guests, this system is particularly low-noise and low-vibration

8-seater chairlift VISNITZ N2 in Samnaun
The new lift should go into operation in time for the new 2019/2020 winter season and will be the first 8-seater "D-Line" chairlift in Switzerland.
FIRST 8 "D-LINE" SYSTEM IN SWITZERLAND
The new detachable 8-seater chairlift Visnitz leads over 13 tubular supports from the Alp Trida (2,261 m) in the direction of Visnitzkopf at 2,633 m and overcomes a difference in altitude of 372 m. The valley station was built in the summer of 2018 east of the “Skihaus Alp Trida” mountain restaurant. The 68b ski slope that has already been built also leads directly to the new valley station. The new 8-seater chairlift can transport 900 more guests per hour.
As with the new Velilleckbahn, the armchairs are equipped with 520 mm wide individual seats, heated seats and weather protection hoods in order to offer the guests maximum comfort. On the back of the new D-Line armchairs there will be pictures about the history of Samnaun.
