Nordic Walking - Through the Freudenberg City Forest

This Nordic Walking route through the Freudenberg city forest will demand a lot from you, as the nearly 10 kilometers over fine gravel and natural forest floor are challenging and promise a high experiential value at the same time.

Your start is directly at the Rauch Zoo, immediately ascending via the "Langen Weg" around the "Tannenbuckel" and over the "Steiggraben," past the Schützenhaus through mixed forest to the Mönchsbild wayside shrine. You then climb steeply via Doktorstraße before the trail leads to the Hirtenstein.

A wonderful view over the Freudenberg old town with the Freudenburg rewards you for your efforts and offers pure relaxation. Breathe deeply and continue leisurely uphill along the "Langen Weg" to the "Red Rock" and descend via "Sinselein" and "Stubenrauch" past the water reservoir of the city of Freudenberg and back to your starting point.
