After starting at the main square of Rust, we take bike path B10, which runs parallel to the federal road along the vineyards to Mörbisch. Via an alternative route (also B10), you reach Mörbisch through the reed belt; both routes have their own charm. On the B31, we turn north into the vineyards and reach the Paneuropean Picnic Memorial after a relatively steep ascent and a similarly steep descent, which commemorates the fall of the Iron Curtain – this section runs along the Iron Curtain Trail. Then the B31 splits; we keep right and reach Siegendorf across wide fields. Through the town, the route continues along a small federal road towards Wulka, where bike path B13 runs idyllically towards Trausdorf an der Wulka. Along the river, we first reach Oslip and shortly thereafter Schützen am Gebirge. From here, it goes over a paved path through the vineyards to Oggau and from there back via bike path B10 to Rust at the lake bath.

Weingut Ernst Triebaumer
The Triebaumer family ushered in a new era of Austrian red wine over 30 years ago with the Blaufränkisch Mariental from 1986. Even today, the winery counts among the few 5-star establishments awarded by Falstaff magazine and has seen eventful years: from mixed agriculture to pure viticulture operation (1980) and back (2010).

Weingut Feiler-Artinger
The Feiler-Artinger winery is a family business deeply rooted in the region and the free city of Rust. Since 2013, Kurt Feiler and his wife Katrin have been primarily responsible for the winery; biodynamic farming was adopted in 2008. The winery became world-famous for its great noble sweet wines, especially the Ruster Ausbruch.

Weingut Franz Schindler
With the creation of his »Cuvée d’Or«, Franz Schindler from Mörbisch pioneered Austrian red wine more than 30 years ago. From the beginning, this noble drop made a name for itself in the wine scene and has been among Austria’s best wines for many years. The philosophy of the house — to grant the great growths more barrel aging and to fill and sell them later — is repeatedly confirmed by top ratings in tastings.

Oslip
Csello – Cselley Mühle
Lots is happening recently at this legendary and legendary event location: significant investment and renovation, the casual Mü Bar already pampers hungry and thirsty guests (great wines and beers), and the restaurant will open soon. Art has always played a major role here; this is where the creative Burgenland heart beats.

Schützen am Gebirge
Restaurant and Greisslerei Taubenkobel
A fixed star in the Burgenland gourmet sky for years. Walter and Eveline Eselböck established the business years ago; today, daughter Barbara and her husband and head chef Alain Weissgerber are responsible for the guests’ well-being. Whether in the gourmet restaurant, the Greisslerei, or one of the beautiful suites – Taubenkobel stands for pure enjoyment.

Weingut Prieler
Georg Prieler has been among the absolute wine elite of Burgenland for years. With great sensitivity and intuition, he produces terroir-related wines that remain memorable. Goldberg, the undisputed best location of the house, offers barren mica slate and is predestined for Blaufränkisch, the most traditional and important variety. In 2009, the Prieler family was named "Winemaker of the Year."

Oggau
Gut Oggau
Stephanie and Edi Tscheppe have been comprehensively caring for their guests for years at Hauptstraße 31. Gourmets find the characterful wines on the menus of the hippest restaurants worldwide; at the Heuriger, the two serve an equally fine and down-to-earth regional cuisine.

Weigut Mad
A somewhat crazy vision and its implementation have always shaped the work of the extended family in Oggau. They are forward-looking but without forgetting tradition and old craftsmanship. Sebastian and Tobias Siess took over the winery with around 34 hectares in 2018 and work with great commitment on their goal to produce wines with character and depth.
