The jewel in Kuchl’s crown is the mountain Hoher Göll. This
mighty rocky mountain, also known as the sacred mountain,
with its monumental massif can be seen from every corner
of Kuchl and towers over the Salzach Valley at a height of
more than 2,500 metres. The border between the Tennengau
region and the Berchtesgadener Land runs along its peak,
in other words, the border between Austria and Germany.
