If you want, you can warm yourself by the stove or spend hours looking out the large windows, enjoying the view of the pilgrimage church of St. Leonhard, the mountains of Lungau and breathtaking sunsets.

The wood of the Lungau mountain larch covers the SMART WOOD HOUSE like a protective shell. Inside, larch wood exudes delicate fragrances and soothes body and soul. Ideal conditions for a restful sleep and relaxing hours with family and good friends.

Summer in the Lungau

• MOUNTAINEERING AND HIKING: Just into the mountain shoe and up to the mountains! What could be better than enjoying the wonderful view and the snack on the summit after a long tour! From Tamsweg, seven side valleys fan out and each valley offers you varied hikes in the Lungau mountains. In the south, the Nockberge with wide pastures and gentler peaks invite to tours. Refreshments are available at the crystal-clear mountain lakes and rustic huts.
• RIDING AND COACH DRIVING. Discover the Lungau on horseback! They cross rivers, gallop on shady forest trails, along flowering pastures and breathe the resinous aroma of the Lungau larches. An experience for horse friends.
• MOUNTAIN BIKING, ROAD BIKE OR LEISURE-BIKING: Whether you are planning a leisurely cycling trip for the whole family, looking for a variety of cycle routes or challenging mountain bike tours, the Lungau has it all.
• GOLF: The perfect playground in a sunny altitude. Surrounded by a spectacular mountain landscape, the Lungau Golf Course is surrounded by an alluvial landscape with ecologically integrated ponds and wetlands: an 18-hole course and an Open9 course.
• BATHING FUN: The bathing island in Tamsweg makes the heart of water rats beat faster! The outdoor pool is heated the hole year by the waste heat of the district heating plant and so swimming under the open sky is a pleasure even at lower temperatures. A great waterslide with a blackout is top of the range.
