A lovely natural lake, the biggest and warmest lake of Ötztal valley! It is called the "mirror of the mountains" due to the breathtaking location right amid the peaks and summits.

Embedded in a scenic nature preserve at 915m above sea level you find the picturesque lake Piburger See, one of Tirol's warmest swimming lakes with temperatures up to 24°C in summer.

The surrounding area along the lakeshore offers marvelous walking paths leading from Sautens, Ötz, Habichen to Piburg. A perfect alternative also for bad weather! A lakeside restaurant with a large terrace offers everything a thirsty hiker could possibly desire.

Also for small children in pram the right lakeside is perfect.

A car park is available as well. (parking fee)
Fishing permits can be purchased at the village administration building in Oetz.
