The journey to the bus stop Alpe Formarin is possible during the summer months with the hiking bus "Formarinsee" from Lech. From Alpe Formarinsee, a gravel road leads slightly downhill to Formarinsee. Follow the gravel road until you reach the hill at the Freiburger Hütte. For refreshment it is worthwhile to stop at the Freiburger Hütte, where you will be spoiled with all kinds of delicacies. Return via the same path.
Family tip
This short hike is also very suitable for families with small children. The gravel road is no problem even with an all-terrain stroller!
Variant for experienced hikers
An alternative for the way back is the footpath (white-blue-white marking) above the eastern shore of the Formarinsee slightly descending back to the bus stop Alpe Formarin. Attention: This path is only recommended for experienced hikers who are free from giddiness!
