Panoramic views, shady forests, wide meadows, babbling brooks and idyllic valleys - this hike leads through pure natural landscapes on the high plateau between the Enz and Nagold valleys.
The tour starts in the historic town of Neubulach and leads through meadows, into the fragrant forests. Flora and fauna can be wonderfully observed on the way to Bulerwaldstern. Through the Bulerwald, you go under a dense canopy of leaves and needles. Slowly, you approach the babbling Schwarzenbach, which we follow down into the valley for a while before hiking back up to the sunny heights around Schönbronn. Across the heights, the landscape changes from meadow to forest and descends slowly into the Ziegelbach valley. Idyllically located here is the Lochsäg Mill with the reservoir of the Ziegelbach. Historical highlights such as the visitor mine of the Hella-Glück tunnel and the town with its magnificent half-timbered houses lie at the end of the hike and are worth a visit.
The route starts at the Mathildenschule car park and initially leads through Mathildenstraße and then through the forest path out of the town. Here we encounter the East Path, which we leave again after a few meters. We walk straight ahead towards the edge of the forest. At this point, we reach the diamond markings of the Black Forest Association and follow these from here. At the signpost Hummelberg, we walk briefly on the road and then turn right onto the forest path. At the signpost Lower Hummelberg, we stay right again and walk into the forest. We pass the signpost Herdweg and head towards the Bulerwaldstern. Upon arrival, the route turns left. We soon cross the country road and continue to follow the diamond to the signpost Schwarzenbach. From there, it goes to the signpost Aisch, where we turn left and are led into the Schwarzenbach valley. We follow the forest path to the signpost Hasenmerkle. Turn left and go uphill, past the signpost Ziegelwiesen to the signpost Schönbronn Town Hall. Following the diamond, we leave Schönbronn and reach the Brunnenhof as well as the signpost of the same name. We keep left and hike into the Ziegelbach valley. At the bottom, we find the Lochsäg Mill with a historic water wheel. We pass the signpost Lochsäg Mill and hike up to the visitor mine. Via the signposts mini-golf course, Neubulach and Neubulach marketplace, we return to the car park on Mathildenstraße.
Hiking shoes, small backpack provisions, and drinks are recommended.
