MiningTrail Fortuna Mine
Úroveň náročnosti: T1
At eleven GeoStations, modern display panels tell interested hikers exciting stories about almost 2,500 years of mining history, our geology, and the formation of today's cultural landscape.
The circular hiking trail marked with red dots starts at the Zechenhaus and leads over the upper mining site past the new and old engine house to the former open-cast area of the Fortuna mine and further through the mining forest. Here, among other things, you will reach the ventilation borehole, which serves the fresh air supply of the mine, as well as the so-called pit stones, which once marked the mining fields above ground.
