Lahti's small lakes 25km

The route takes cyclists around two lakes that can fit in the urban area of Lahti, Lake Alasenjärvi and Lake Joutjärvi. Starting from the Lahti Sports Centre towards idyllic Joutjärvi. The lake can be seen on the left while pedaling along one of the oldest streets in Lahti, Viipurintie. From here, take Pekantie and head to Alasenjärvi, where you follow the Ahtialantie pedestrian and bicycle route. From Ahtialantie turn onto Sipurantie, which runs north of Lake Alasenjärvi. There is no pedestrian and bicycle lane at this point, but the road is peaceful and rewards visitors with magnificent lake views.

From Sipurantie in the residential area of Viuha there is a beach where you can take a dip. From the northwest corner of Lake Alasenjärvi turn onto Savontie in the scenery of the Takkula golf course. This area is also home to the Pesäkallio nature reserve, which is worth a visit if you have time and energy. At that time, there will be less than ten kilometres left to reach the starting point. From the Holma area, turn towards the shore of Lake Vesijärvi and drive back to the Lahti Sports Centre via Ankkuri, the Port and, for example, through Sibelius Hall back to Lahti Sports Centre.
