Entering the forest and walking the hiking paths is fundamentally at your own risk!

Seasonal and weather conditions require increased surefootedness in some sections. Therefore, wear clothing and hiking boots with appropriate soles adapted to the season and weather. Caution is advised due to breaking branches and damaged trees. In strong winds and in winter due to snow and ice, there is an increased danger from falling trees and tree parts.

Starting point Riegelsberg Waldstraße:

49o18’10" N, 6o57’07" E

From Saarbrücken on A1 towards Trier to the Riegelsberg Süd exit, turn into Waldstraße at the roundabout (mining monument) at the town entrance.

Starting point Heusweiler-Holz Rödelbachstraße:

49o20’3" N, 6o59’20" E

From Saarbrücken on A1 towards Trier to the Heusweiler-Holz exit, pass through Holz to the cemetery, Rödelbachstraße.

Starting point Riegelsberg Waldstraße:

Take Saarbahn 1 to Riegelsberg Wolfskaulstr., 5 minutes on foot

Starting point Heusweiler-Holz Rödelbachstraße:

Stops Heusweiler-Holz, Cemetery. RSW line 174, accessible well from Monday to Saturday. Not hiking-friendly accessible on Sundays.
