You can hike either along the forest trail or via shortcuts through the forest to the Loosbühelalm. This alpine pasture was rebuilt in the winter of 2010-2011 after a devastating fire. Especially for fans of goat's milk and goat cheese, the Loosbühelalm ("Klausalm") is a special insider tip. In addition to the usual snack with homemade delicacies (not only goat's milk, but also products from cow's milk), there are also warm dishes. Children love to spend time at the playground. At the mountain inn Loosbühelalm, you can comfortably stay overnight. All those who are not (or no longer) so good on their feet can take a taxi or even their own car up to the alpine pasture (toll fee). This way, even "non-hikers" can enjoy a real alpine hut experience.
Drive by car or hiking taxi into the Ellmautal to Grundlehen – parking available. Ascent either via the forest road (No. 60), which leads in switchbacks to the Loosbühelalm, 1,769 m (approx. 1 1/2 hours), or on the old alpine pasture path, which crosses the forest road repeatedly.

Drive by car or take the Ellmautal line bus No. 541 into the Ellmautal to the Grundlehen parking lot. Or ascend by hiking taxi or your own car (toll fee) directly to the alpine hut.

You can easily reach the Weißalm in half an hour on trail No. 63 and the Ellmaualm after another half hour; if you go in the other direction, you will arrive at the Filzmoosalm in one hour. Regardless of which alpine pasture you hike to, you will always return to the Grundlehen parking lot, the starting point.
