, you can hike the approx. 2 KM long loop from Bramberg to the district of Wenns and enjoy the various lantern variations, which light up the new path from about 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at intervals of about 15 meters. Additionally, along the new lantern trail, lovingly designed decorations and artistic projects from the House of Children as well as the primary and secondary school of Bramberg can be admired. About halfway, a renovated traditional Pinzgau hay barn – Krippenstadel – invites you to linger. In this, you can admire charming Christmas cribs from the region.
The starting point is the train station in Bramberg (parking available). Behind it, a small and fine hiking trail leads through the snow-covered meadows to the Rosenbühelsteg, further to the Krippenstadel, and then a short stretch uphill to the Kneipp facility in Wenns. At the Kneipp facility, turn left and walk through a short forest section until you reach the end point of the lantern trail. Return via the same route or take the road through the district of Wenns, from where it goes downhill to the Salzach bridge. Here, you can either turn left and return to the starting point via the Salzach & Tauern bicycle and pedestrian path or continue straight on and walk through the town of Bramberg back towards the train station. You should also visit the beautiful crib in the village pavilion. The walking time to and from is about 1 hour, mostly flat with a short ascent and descent (approx. 50 meters elevation change).
