A warm welcome to an unforgettable winter hike in the picturesque mountain scenery of Maria Alm! This route promises not only breathtaking views but also the opportunity to fully enjoy the fresh mountain air and the idyllic nature. Start your hike at the Servicecenter Maria Alm, where you can prepare yourself for the upcoming adventures. Follow the street to the right towards the Gasthof Moserwirt. Here, turn left and cross the bridge. The path takes you past the cozy Gasthof Almerwirt and continues on path no. 21 in the direction of Dürnberg. Feel the snow crust crunch under your feet as you enjoy the silence and beauty of the winter landscape. The uphill path is a welcome sporting challenge that brings you closer to your goal with each step. The fresh mountain air and the sparkling snow around you create a magical atmosphere. Once you arrive at the Gasthof Kronreith, you will be greeted with a warm atmosphere. Here you have earned a well-deserved snack! Sit down on the panorama terrace and enjoy the magnificent view of Maria Alm and the surrounding mountain scenery – a sight that will take your breath away! After your break, you start your return to Maria Alm via the Grießbachwinkel. Let your gaze wander over the snow-covered meadows and forests and enjoy the peace of nature. If you are in the mood for some action, you can rent a sledge for a fee at the Gasthaus Kronreith and enjoy the descent!

Start your winter hike at the Servicecenter Maria Alm. Follow the street to the right towards the Gasthof Moserwirt. Turn left here and cross the bridge. Pass the Gasthof Almerwirt and follow path no. 21 uphill towards Dürnberg. The last part to the Gasthof Kronreith you hike on path no. 21c. Once you arrive at the Gasthof Kronreith, treat yourself to a snack and enjoy the great view of Maria Alm and the surrounding mountain scenery from the panorama terrace. Then you make your way back to Maria Alm via the Grießbachwinkel. If you feel like a sledge ride, you can rent a sledge for a fee at the Gasthaus Kronreith.

Respect nature: stay on the paths, avoid avalanche and wildlife protection areas.
Arrival from Salzburg: Take the A10 motorway to the Bischofshofen exit, then continue on the B311 towards Bischofshofen. Follow the Hochkönig federal road/B164 to Maria Alm.
Arrival from Innsbruck/Kufstein: Take the Lofer road/B178 towards St. Johann i.T., then over the Hochkönig federal road/B164 via Saalfelden to Maria Alm.
A valid toll sticker is required for using the Austrian motorway and expressway network. Carrying a first aid kit, warning triangle, and reflective vest is also mandatory. More information at Asfinag.
