Lyžiarske stredisko Champex - Lac

Nestling around a magnificent Alpine lake, this village has cultivated a tradition of warm hospitality for over a century. With its vast forests, lake and traditional wooden chalets, the resort is rightly nicknamed the ‘Little Canada of Switzerland’.

In summer, you'll find a wide range of activities for relaxation and sport: trips on the lake in a boat or pedalo, strolls along a ‘bisse’ (a water channel) or sporting hikes, fishing, etc. Not to be missed: an enchanting visit to the Alpine botanical garden and the discovery of the artillery fort in the bowels of the earth. Like La Fouly, Champex-lac is an important stage on the international route of the Tour du Mont-Blanc.

Families will find an attractive winter offering here: ski slopes and cross-country ski trails, natural ice rink, walks around the lake, signposted snowshoe trails, walks with St-Bernard dogs. What's more, the resort is on the route of the Haute-Route between Chamonix and Zermatt, and is usually the second stop on this legendary ski tour. At Champex-Lac, winter comes in many forms!
