⭐️⭐️ Disappointing experience – not worth the price
We had a disappointing ski day in Grächen.
It is a very small ski area, and on the day we visited only 3 drag lifts were operating. Despite this, we were charged full price for day tickets. Many pistes were very icy, which made skiing unpleasant, especially for children.
We stopped skiing before 12:30, well within the stated time limit, and asked at the ticket office whether our day tickets could be converted to half-day tickets. This was refused, with unclear and inconsistent explanations.
On top of that, there was chaos at the gondola in the morning, with poor organization and long waiting times.
Overall, the price–quality ratio is not good. If you are willing to spend just a little more and travel further to Zermatt, you will get a much larger ski area, modern lifts, better slopes and a far superior ski experience.
Unfortunately, we would not recommend Grächen for a full ski day.
