At the foot of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, the Grand Tourmalet ‘Barèges-La Mongie’ offers you the largest ski area in the French Pyrenees.

Imagine a ski area stretching over 100 km and rising to 2,500 m, with 68 runs and 33 lifts!

There's something for all the family: from beginner skiing to high mountain skiing with the Pic du Midi de Bigorre (off-piste), via beautiful blue and red runs in the forest.

The Grand Tourmalet offers you a choice of winter ambiences, differing according to the slope. Barèges reveals its traditional Pyrenean village charm and cosy atmosphere. La Mongie offers all the amenities of a ‘foot of the slopes’ resort, in a high mountain environment.

The charm of this resort lies in the fact that you never come to the same place, so different are the slopes and landscapes, but there are always magnificent views, particularly from the 4 Termes or Taoulet slopes at La Mongie, or from the Col du Tourmalet and Ayré slopes at Barèges.
