Lyžiarske stredisko Kranjska Gora

The greatest assets of Kranjska gora are for sure the ski slopes extending from the hill of Vitranc to the village of Podkoren and Planica. The skiiers can use fourteen ski lifts and five chairlifts, three of them are 4seated. Most of the trails, about 70ha, are covered also by artificial snow and are convenient for skiers of different skiing abililities.

Those with more experience will like the polygon of Podkoren where every year the World Ski Cup competitions are taking place. Beginners and the younger skiers choose ski lifts Kekec, Mojca, Rožle, Tinkara, Pehta, Bedanec which are all named after the characters of the well known mountain stories of the Slovene writer Vandot.

The skiiers can improve their skills in many ski schools with excellent teachers in all possible disciplines: alpine skiing, cross country run and snowboarding.
All the equipment……skis, poles, helmets can be rented in five rental shops at the foot of the slopes. There are also many restaurants – there is no chance that you would be hungry and thirsty. Put aside your skis and enjoy the sunshine also in the »snow beach«!
