The entire Industrial Culture Trail covers a full 35 kilometers because there is a lot to tell! Of course, it can also be managed in smaller stages. One of these leads from Baden to Ennetbaden. Along the way, you encounter the representative villas of the Baden patriciate, such as Villa Boveri, the former residence of BBC co-founder Walter Boveri. Or power plants, for example in the Au, which then as now supplied industry with energy. And here and there you can also spot old factory buildings that are just being given new life. For example, the Oederlin site, a former foundry in Ennetbaden, where more and more creatives and recently even a brewery have settled.
The entire route along the hiking trails runs from Wettingen to Brugg. Certainly a long route with abundant information about the industrial history along parts of the three rivers Limmat, Reuss, and Aare. The 44 panels at the respective locations inform you with images and texts about the corresponding objects. The entire route is quite long and perhaps invites several visits. Therefore, we have divided the Industrial Culture Trail into five stages: The upper menu item 'Routes' leads you to the individual stages.
