Please note that the river Seran may not flow during long periods of drought, reducing the attractivness of some of the points of interest. Do not hesitate to get in touch with us before your hike to know if the river flows.

For this route, please park in the parking lot near the community hall, along the stadium (5 minutes on foot from the Vaugrais campsite). Do not park in front of the entrance to the Le Vaugrais campsite in Cerveyrieu, nor in front of the containers.
Follow the Séran from the Vaugrais campsite to the Fierloz massif.

The hiking route runs along the departmental road D904 for a few hundred meters; we recommend being careful with children on this section.

It is possible to reach Artemare via the D904 through Vierieu-le-Grand from the southwest and from the west via Culoz.
It is possible to reach the village of Artemare by taking bus 145 between Belley and Virieu le Grand. The Virieu-le-Grand station is located on the Lyon - Geneva railway line.

This route alternating between vineyards, forests, river, and waterfall is particularly fascinating during snowmelt and after rainy episodes when the flow of the Séran is high; the Thurignin Gorges and the Cerveyrieu waterfall are less interesting during dry periods.
For refreshments and snacks after the route, we recommend the restaurants Le Séran and Les Caudalies in Artemare.
