The Lake Constance cycle path from Radolfzell to the island of Reichenau is mostly flat and easy to cycle. Follow the signs towards Konstanz to the Reichenau train station, which is located on the mainland. Cross the tracks at the station and soon reach the causeway to the island.
On the island of Reichenau, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000, you must not miss the churches Oberzell and Unterzell, the minster, and the monastery complexes.
You start your route to the island of Reichenau in Radolfzell on Lake Constance. The Lake Constance cycle path takes you to Markelfingen. On the largely flat route, you can relax and enjoy the view of the Lower Lake. From Markelfingen, continue along the lake and parallel to the B33 via Allensbach towards Konstanz. Shortly after Allensbach, you cycle past Hegne Castle, which is worth a visit. At Lindenbühl, you leave the Rhine Valley cycle path and take Pirminstraße to the island of Reichenau. The causeway runs along extensive nature reserves that can be seen on both sides of the path. After an extensive visit of the island with its numerous sights, such as the church of St. Peter and Paul and the Georg Church, the minster St. Mary and Mark, as well as the monastery complexes, you return the same way to Radolfzell. On particularly hot days, a short stop for cooling off at the Markelfingen beach bath is recommended.
You can also make the return journey wholly or partially by boat. Either you cross from Herrenbruck (yacht harbor) below the minster to Allensbach or use the boat connection from the other side of the island directly to Radolfzell.

Don't forget appropriate clothing! Sun and rain protection and above all a bicycle helmet should always be with you. It is recommended to bring enough drinks and some provisions.
From Nuremberg and Munich via the A96 motorway Memmingen, Kempten, Lindau, then continue on federal roads B31 and B34.
From Frauenfeld via the A7 to Kreuzlingen - Konstanz, then continue on federal road B33. From Stein am Rhein via country road L192. From Schaffhausen via E41/E54 to Thayngen, then continue on B34, then on the A81 towards Stuttgart and then on B33 to the Radolfzell exit.
In Radolfzell, follow the signs to the train station.
Parking with a parking ticket at the train station and free parking at Messeplatz.
