Radish, Bülle and Salad - pleasure cycling route over the Höri peninsula

Start: 11 a.m. Campingplatz Horn
The parking lot at Campingplatz Horn is the ideal starting point for the pleasure cycling route. Above the parking lot, go right towards Horn and then left into the Horn residential area. After a short climb up Himmernstraße, turn right into Brommenstraße and then reach Hornstaaderstraße. There, take the diagonally opposite turn into Hörnliweg, also signposted as Bodensee bike route towards Radolfzell. In Hörnliweg you immediately come to

Pleasure stop 1  Hotel Gasthaus Seehörnle
The first pleasure stop is the Hotel Gasthaus Seehörnle located at the edge of the nature reserve, where you can strengthen yourself with cyclist tapas for the tour. Now cycle along the nature reserve towards Iznang. If you want to buy Höri vegetables or fruits directly from producers, leave the Bodensee bike route at the entrance to Iznang and ride up to the main road, where two vegetable stands, Glaser and Fürst, are located. Then continue on the signposted Bodensee bike route along the lake, past vegetable fields, past fisher Albin Lang’s fish shop (fresh and smoked Bodensee fish) to Moos. 

Pleasure stop 2  Gasthaus Grüner Baum or Gasthaus Schiff

If you have chosen Gasthaus Schiff, you have already arrived at the left end of the harbor and enjoy fish soup or fish dumplings with rice. Alternatively, reach Gasthaus Grüner Baum along Dorfstraße via Durchgangstraße, where the host family invites you to the well-known fish soup. Back on the bike, turn right onto the main road, take the second left, and get on the paved bike path via Mühlestraße to Bankholzen (K6160). Turn left here and ride through Bankholzen until the intersection points you straight towards Weiler. At the town exit (by the cemetery), a small street leads right to Bettnang, where you can quench your thirst with fresh spring water from the fountain. Passing through Weiler, you reach the bike path to Gaienhofen, then take the turnoff to Horn. From the Horn water tower, you have a fantastic panoramic view over the western Bodensee. To the next stop, it's only downhill along Weilerstraße. At the end, you meet the main road, and opposite on the left you already see

Pleasure stop 3  Hotel Gasthaus Hirschen
In the Hirschen garden in Horn, the chef of Hotel Hirschen pampers you with Höri salad and ox shreds. Back in the saddle and on the main road, after 100 m turn left at the fountain into the small street "Im Weingarten" and cycle below the Horn church between old farmers’ gardens down to Hornstaaderstraße. After a few meters downhill comes the turn into Hörnliweg, where you then turn left again and end up at Seehörnle:

On the sun terrace, you deserve a delicious Höri dessert to finish. Via the Bodensee bike route, you return to the starting point.

By train to Radolfzell station. If you arrive without a bike, take the Höri bus to Gaienhofen-Horn/Gasthaus Hirschen. From the bus stop, the bike rental Velo Martin, Hauptstr. 120, can be reached in 3 minutes.
