High-altitude climate trail - Albseerunde

From the "Haus des Gastes" in St. Blasien, cross the park and walk along the "Tusculumweg" to the underpass. Once you reach the other side of the bypass, turn left and follow the "Albseeweg" towards the "Albstausee" reservoir. The yellow rhombus leads you through the forest and along the edge of the forest to the reservoir. Once you reach the lake, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the water directly on the lakeshore and warm up in the sun.

Stay on the right-hand side of the shore and begin to circle the lake. A little later, you will reach a romantic water treading area on the "Albstausee", which offers a view of the lake hidden in the forest. Here you can cool your feet in the water and enjoy the forest air. Refreshed, continue along the lake trail to the dam wall.

Cross it, keep right and walk 200 meters downhill on the asphalt road. You walk past houses until you reach a path that leads you to the "Schmelze" bus stop. Cross the road here and turn left onto the hiking trail towards St. Blasien. After a few meters, take the small path on the left downhill towards the road and St. Blasien. Follow this until you cross the road again and reach the other bank via the wooden bridge. Now take the same route back to the "Haus des Gastes".
