The hike starts at Petershöhe and already offers a wide view to the Swabian Alb. The route is characterized by long, extensive forest sections that exude peace and seclusion. Along the way, you are accompanied mostly by birdsong and the rustling of the trees. When the sunbeams peek through the canopy, the hike almost becomes a relaxing forest bathing session. Here you can let your thoughts run free and simply enjoy nature.
Another viewpoint is the Augenblick at Hornberger Höhe, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Swabian Alb. This spot is also ideal for a small snack.
The route continues to Burg Hornberg (forest school), before leading via a zigzag path to the Baiermühle. The Zwerchbachtal is initially lined with meadows before you dive back into the deep forest. This hike is perfect for nature lovers who want to experience the beauty and tranquility of the Black Forest.
The hike follows the marked hiking trail network of the Black Forest Club. Along the way, the diamonds guide you from one signpost location to the next.
