Beautiful views into the wintery Murgtal

The hike begins at the S-Bahn station in Heselbach. Here you first cross the federal road B 462 towards the Grundwaldweg location, Grundwald, then walk uphill along the edge of the forest and continue toward Grundwaldhütte. At Grundwaldhütte, turn left to Wannengründle and Heselbach hut. Enjoy the beautiful view over the upper Murgtal here. Then follows the route along the Murgtal hiking trail (blue rhombus) towards Röswald and Gläserberg. Accompanied again and again by magnificent views into the Murgtal, you walk past Bäumlesäcker hut towards Rauhwäldle until the Schönengrund/water reservoir location. At Rauhwäldle site. Past Bäumlesäcker hut it goes towards Rauhwäldle. Here you have the option to shorten the hike. Turn left towards Murgtalstraße. If you want to continue the hike as described, continue straight ahead to the Schönengrund/water reservoir location. From the forest edge, go downhill along Besenfelder Straße towards Schönengrund. Besenfelder Straße merges into Schönengründer Straße. Turn left here and follow Schönengründer Straße about 1.5 km until it merges into Murgtalstraße. Cross Murgtalstraße at Hotel Sonne and go over the Murg bridge onwards to the S-Bahn station in Röt.
