MTB tour around the Großer Alpsee

The start is the cattle market parking lot in Immenstadt. From there, the route leads past the Immenstadt police station and along the Badeweg towards the Kleiner Alpsee outdoor pool. In Bühl, the route runs along Fischerweg and the road "In der Hub" to the left into Trieblingser Weg. The tour follows this road to Trieblings, where it follows the signs for "Radrunde Allgäu".

At Ratholz, turn left through the village to the Alpsee Bergwelt. The route then winds its way up a wider ascent to the Alpsee Coaster. There is a refreshment stop at the Bärenfalle mountain hut. The route then continues through the forest to Alpe Starkatsgund, from where the route follows the signs to Gschwender Horn.

You have now almost completed the ascent. Optionally, a narrow path leads left through the forest to the hidden summit of the Gschwender Horn - the view is rewarding! The way back is along the same path, then left and straight on to the Kemptener Naturfreundehaus. There are also refreshment stops and overnight accommodation available there.

The route continues to the Seifenmoosalpe and then down through the Steigbachtal valley. You roll rapidly down the forest road to the residential town of Immenstadt. Once at the bottom, the road continues straight downhill, over a bridge and then left past the train station back to Viehmarktplatz. In Immenstadt, there are numerous opportunities for a leisurely end to the day, for example with a stroll through small stores, cafés and restaurants. There is a free e-bike charging station at Bräuhausplatz during the opening hours of the tourist information office.
