Iller cycle path to Oberstdorf with a stop at the squirrel forest

You start in Immenstadt, at the indoor swimming pool, from there you ride to the Iller and keep right.

From here the Iller cycle path mostly runs directly alongside the Iller and is marked with "Iller cycle path."

Follow this signage to Fischen, to the squirrel forest.

Here you can take a short break and admire the curious squirrels, which are always looking for food.

(Feeding is not forbidden, but you should remember that squirrels are wild animals and feeding them disturbs their natural balance.)

From the squirrel forest you then either return to Immenstadt or continue along the Iller to Oberstdorf, again following the "Iller cycle path" signage. For the return trip you can take the same route back or cycle back to Immenstadt on the other side of the Iller.

Alternatively, you can take the train from Oberstdorf back to Immenstadt.

You need an additional ticket for the bike (not included in the Germany ticket).

A free e-bike charging station is located at the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park Center in Bühl. In Oberstdorf you can find one at the Oberstdorf House.

Take the train to Immenstadt station, from here through the town center and along the Faulenzerweg to the indoor swimming pool, the starting point of the tour.

Did you know?

All Immenstadt vacation guests receive the Mobil Pass Allgäu from their host, which means that this tour can be reached free of charge by public transport.

However, an extra ticket must be purchased for the transportation of bicycles and transportation is not guaranteed if there is a large number of people.
