Kuhnigundenweg in winter

The snowshoe tour begins at the parking lot below the village of Diepolz. From there, the hiking trail runs steadily uphill parallel to the main road. After a short time, you reach the mountain farm museum, which is closed during the winter months. Continue past the Höfle Alpe until you reach the Kapfweg after a short distance. Along the edge of the forest, the last few meters lead up to two farms. Here you have a beautiful view of the snow-covered winter landscape, ideal for a short break, as the most strenuous section of the snowshoe tour has been completed. The route then heads back down the valley. After crossing the main road, the trail leads downhill along a section of forest back towards the starting point. Following the tracks in the snow, you finally reach the starting point of the tour again.

Finally, you can visit the cheese dairy in Diepolz, which is open daily and offers Allgäu mountain cheese to take home.
