Bad Wiessee is a municipality on Lake Tegernsee and holds the designation of spa town. The district 'Alt Wiessee' traces back to Tegernsee Abbey and is, as the name suggests, the oldest district of Bad Wiessee. Beautiful farms (five of which still operate traditional agriculture today) characterize this district with a stunning view of Lake Tegernsee.
The lake circular route can be started and ended at any point; Bad Wiessee offers numerous parking spaces and the lakeside promenade invites you to linger. There are dining options along the route.
Walk via Seestraße to the lake. From there, enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Tegernsee along the lakeside promenade and follow Löblweg at its junction to Seestraße. Turn left onto Seestraße and follow it to Dorfplatz until Sterneggerstraße. Then walk to Sanktjohanner Straße (B 318), follow it for about 200 meters (cross the street at the pedestrian traffic light) and turn left into Hagngasse. Walk straight on to Prinzenruhweg, then follow Prinzenruhweg to Sanktjohanner Straße (B 318). From there, return to the starting point.
