The Seewinkelweg leads over a total length of 44 kilometers through the towns Frauenkirchen, Mönchhof, Halbturn, and St. Andrä. In Frauenkirchen, the highlight is the basilica waiting for you. In Mönchhof the village museum is not located directly on the route, but a detour there is definitely recommended. In the next village on the route in Halbturn you pass directly by the castle. There, for example, you could visit the annually changing exhibition, or stroll through the beautiful park. Finally, the Seewinkelweg also leads you to St. Andrä. There is the Zicksee lake. With a bit of luck you will also spot some ground squirrels on this tour which are usually found in large numbers at Zicksee.

Arrival by train:
Lake Neusiedl is easy & comfortable to reach by train. Whether you are coming from Switzerland, Germany, western or southern Austria: you can change trains at Vienna main station very relaxed. The ÖBB regional trains take you in just under 40 minutes to Neusiedl am See station, where coordinated bus and train connections towards Pamhagen / Fertöszémtmiklos or Eisenstadt respectively Sopron are also offered. On most trains, bicycle transport is possible: on Railjet and EC/IC as well as on Nightjets a reservation for your bicycle is absolutely necessary. On regional trains your bicycle is transported without reservation, depending on the availability of bicycle spaces.
