The actual travel time is about 2.5 hours, but you should plan for 3-4 hours to enjoy a well-deserved break at the refreshment stations along the route. The homemade waffles and pastries at the "Bahnhofsbäckerei" (station bakery) are legendary, and the stylish "Mittelstation" (middle station) is a must-see! There are also rest stops along the route with playgrounds and picnic areas where you can enjoy time in nature and unwind. Opening and closing the barriers at the road junctions and operating the automatic light and barrier system when crossing the main road is especially fun. Whether you're planning a trip with friends, colleagues, or the whole family, a railbike tour is adventure and fun all the way!
Return to the starting point is via the pre-booked shuttle bus.
The season runs from the beginning of April to the beginning of November, depending on the weather.

On even days, the draisines travel from Horitschon/Neckenmarkt to Oberpullendorf.

Wear sporty clothing appropriate for the weather, headgear and sun protection, sturdy footwear (for walking on track ballast), and please also bring rain gear as you will be outdoors for an extended period of time.
Safety training by Sonnenland Draisinentour staff is mandatory before every ride!
The most comfortable way to reach the region by car is via Vienna (via A1, A2, A3 or A4) and then to the Oberpullendorf district via the S31.
From Vienna Central Station, a train departs hourly towards Deutschkreutz via Neufeld an der Leitha and Wulkaprodersdorf.
You can conveniently book the transfer from Deutschkreutz station to the starting point of the railbike tour through Sonnenland Railbike Tour. This transfer must be booked in advance along with your railbike(s), and you must specify your exact pick-up time.
Arrival by bus:
Many towns in Central Burgenland, such as Oberpullendorf, Horitschon, and Neckenmarkt, can be reached several times a day from Vienna Central Station by bus with just one transfer.
