From the Wiesen strawberries to the Kobersdorf mineral water - Central Alpine Trail 02

Wiesen is widely known beyond the state borders as the mecca of jazz and, of course, for the Wiesen strawberries. These are sold at street stands. The festival grounds offer numerous events throughout the year with renowned names from the worlds of music and cabaret. This hike leads you through colorful fields and shady forest areas with magnificent viewpoints and cultural treasures that lie directly on the route. You pass the historic lime kiln, where lime was commercially produced until 1950, Forchtenstein Castle with its unique collections, and the Rosalia Chapel, with the most beautiful panoramic view in the region. Then continue to the Lower Austrian state border. Keep left towards Schwarzkogel, Marriegel, past Sieggrabener Kogel to Kobersdorf. At Schölderl, where the Rosalia-Kogelberg Nature Park meets the Landseer Mountains Nature Park, it is worth taking a detour to the Celtic village with its archaeological museum. Upon arrival in Kobersdorf, you must visit the "Waldquelle," Kobersdorf Castle, and the synagogue.
