Eisgarn is located in the north of the Waldviertel. The name Eisgarn means something like "burnt out place" (old Slavic: izgorje). The landscape is shaped by agriculture and surrounded by forests. The Community of Eisgarn consists of the four larger villages of Eisgarn, Groß-Radischen, Klein-Radischen, Wielings and small districts.
