Fender Chalets Sonnalm

The Fender Chalets Sonnalm are a very special place: authentic, alpine and extraordinary.
Here we are realising our heartfelt project with the chalets and creating a holiday world that is modern and sustainable. At the same time, a feel-good place where the tranquillity and power of nature can be felt immediately.

An alpine jewel in the midst of unspoilt nature at 1,750 m above the famous art and culture town of Gmünd. Enjoy a holiday at the highest level - indulgence, relaxation, stylish design, luxury and privacy. A hideaway in a class of its own with all amenities at 5-star level.

A holiday in our Fender Chalets is always a culinary journey of pleasure.

Every day, the breakfast table awaits you in your chalet - with selected products and specialities from local farmers and producers - which we put together for you according to your preferences and wishes.

Of course, we will spoil you whenever you like.
No culinary wishes remain unfulfilled. Our head chef prepares a varied menu of traditional Austrian as well as exquisite delicacies and international dishes fresh every day and we will serve it directly to your chalet. Gourmets and connoisseurs will find a paradise of culinary delights here.

Each chalet has a top kitchen equipped with the latest Miele appliances. Here, you can practise your culinary skills to your heart's content.

Or enjoy an exlusive Chef´s Table experience at our chalet “Cornelia” – a completely personalized private gourmet dinner, where we´ll treat you to custom-created delicacies.

Each dish is perfectly complemented by the right wine pairing. The exclusive range of Austrian and international wines as well as special rarities has been selected with great passion and expertise by host and qualified sommelier Erwin Fender.
Ideally stored and tempered in your own chalet wine cabinet and our Alm Vinothek.

To round off the culinary experience, you will find a fine selection of schnapps, rum and many other distillates in the spirits corner.

The Stubeck Sonnalm holiday region is located on a sunny plateau in the Upper Carinthian Alps at 1,750 metres above the art and culture town of Gmünd.
To the west, the area of the municipality of Gmünd borders on the foothills of the Hohe Tauern with the Hohe Tauern National Park,
