There are many hiking trails in Göriach. From the village, it takes about 2 hours to reach the mountain hut village, home to the Hansalhütte, which serves meals. The hut village at the end of the valley (parking lot just before it, 5-minute walk to the hut village) is the starting point for beautiful family hikes, e.g., to Lake Landawier, as well as for high-alpine tours, such as to the Hochgolling, the highest peak in the Lower Tauern (2,862 m).

Circular hiking trails:
Lasen Circular Trail (approx. 2 hours)
Granglitzgund Trail (approx. 5 hours)
Kürofen Circular Trail (approx. 1.5 hours)

Hiking trail from the village to the hut village (approx. 2 hours)
Hiking trail to the Wildbachhütte (approx. 1.5–2 hours)
From the hut village to the Landawierseehütte (approx. 2 hours) and to the two Landawierseen (15 min and 45 min, respectively)

Smaller peaks suitable for family hikes include the Gumma or the Gensgitsch. Start right in the village; reachable in about 3 hours.
From the hut village to the Hochgolling (high alpine), the hike takes about 4 hours. (For experienced mountaineers only)

Hansal Hut is open from early June to late September
Landawiersee Hut is open from mid-June to late September (depending on snow conditions)
