Family walk: Thierenbach route
Along the route, you will encounter many animals: horses and cows in the meadows, ducks at the fishing pond, and storks at the Soultz park.
Departure from the parking lot of the Wuenheim community hall (next to the church). Turn left (St Gilles street) then right (Tir street). The route then runs along the vineyards to reach the Rote Rain monument. Cross the road to take the Stations of the Cross path to the Thierenbach basilica. Pass in front of the church entrance then take the path towards the village. After the "Jungholtz" sign, turn right and cross the moats of the former Jungholtz castle while passing the Jungholtz Jewish cemetery (one of the largest in Alsace, with very old graves). Continue towards the stork park via the bike path. Return to Wuenheim via Fonderie street.
