The Marsh of Bouvaque

Covering about sixty hectares, the Bouvaque park harbors a great floristic and faunal richness, including many resident and migratory birds.
In the Bouvaque park, let yourself be guided along the banks and go to meet the legends and other phenomena of this natural site in the heart of the city. Along the path, you will see several cavity trees left intentionally so that birds can find refuge there. Further along the river ''Le Novion'', the neighborhood just behind is where Alfred Manessier grew up. This painter was born in Saint-Ouen in the Somme and grew up at his grandfather's house in Abbeville. He was strongly inspired by his childhood and memories in the Baie de Somme in the creation of his works, which made him one of the most renowned Picard artists. Manessier also extended his art to other fields, notably stained glass, of which Abbeville has one of the most famous works at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Continue to the kiosk to discover the blue springs, one of the treasures of the route. Once the wonder is over, then join the path to return to the parking lot.
