On the Lahn cycle path, you cheerfully cycle from Marburg past bathing lakes into the Gleiberger Land, which is characterized by its distinctive castle ruins Gleiberg and Vetzberg.
In Wettenberg-Wißmar, the Wood + Technology Museum invites you to an informative and exciting visit. There is also a lot to experience in Gießen. Highlights such as the Lahnfenster Hessen, where you can explore the underwater world of the Lahn, as well as the new castle, the Zeughaus, and the botanical garden await. You can take part and experiment in the Mathematikum Museum. Numerous accommodation and dining options as well as good train connections make Gießen a popular stage stop on the Lahn cycle path.
On the Hermann-Cohen-Weg, which runs along the left bank of the Lahn, you leave the lively university town of Marburg. Passing the Lahnaue campsite, you continue and cross the Lahn at Cappel. Hopefully, you have your swimwear with you? Because the Weimarer See offers opportunities for swimming and wakeboarding. From Niederweimar, we stay on the right side of the Lahn and pass through Argenstein and Roth.
The next villages on the Lahn cycle path are Fronhausen, Bellnhausen, and Sichertshausen. A detour to the romantic Salzbödetal valley is worthwhile at Salzböden. Passing Odenhausen and Ruttershausen, you now reach Lollar. The forest swimming pool at Lollarer Kopf promises refreshment. Another swimming opportunity is at Wißmarer See. Curious visitors can enjoy a visit to the Wood and Technology Museum in Wißmar. The route continues over the motorway and then along both sides of the Lahn to Gießen. Shortly before Gießen, a short stop at the nature observation platform Gießen Weststadt is recommended.
The lively university town of Gießen, with its good train connections and many accommodation and dining options, is an ideal stage stop. And there is plenty to explore here. Whether the Lahnfenster, Mathematikum, castle, watering can museum, Zeughaus or botanical garden... variety is guaranteed!

The Lahn cycle path mostly runs on cycle paths, quiet secondary roads, and field paths. Nevertheless, please observe the traffic regulations and be considerate of other cyclists, agricultural vehicles, and pedestrians.

On the third stage are the stations Marburg, Weimar, Fronhausen, Lollar, and Gießen.
The train connections in Hesse belong to the Rhine-Main transport association.
