Rosental cultural (side) trip

E-bike suitable route from Ferlach via bike path R7 up to Maria Rain with the well-known pilgrimage church, then on to Köttmannsdorf to the parish church of St. Georg with Austria's oldest preserved funeral lamp. In the freely accessible sculpture park of the Kulturwerkstatt Holzbau Gasser in Ludmannsdorf/Bilčovs, we stretch our legs on a high-quality cultural walk.

Then it goes energetically down to the Rosengemeinde Feistritz. Especially diligent riders make a loop along the Drau bike path to the artist village of Suetschach with the Krampus house and metal art mile. Via the villages Sala and Hundsdorf, we pass by k&k St. Johann/Šentjanž heading to Weizelsdorf to Ebenau Castle, where regularly impressive exhibitions are shown in the Walker Gallery (open on weekends in summer). Passing the church of Kappel a. d. Drau, considered the mother parish of the Rosental valley, we arrive at Kirschentheuer, home of the Carnica Bee Museum. Through Görtschach, the route leads back to the starting point at Ferlach Castle/Gaston Glock Park with the renowned hunting and gunsmith museum.
