On this route, you can follow in the footsteps of the Romans – an experience for the whole family. After reaching the plain of Latschach and cycling along the Drau, you have a wonderful view of the Karawanks, St. Jakob, and St. Egyden. Between St. Egyden and Schiefling, you can leave your bikes at the “Kreuzwirt” and hike up Kathreinkogel. From Schiefling, you then return to Velden or add a “mountain stage” and ride from Kreuzwirt to Penken to visit the small – but beautiful natural jewel Penkensee.
