Hirnkopf via Jägersteig
Fotografie našich používateľov
Very popular beginner route in the eastern Nock Mountains. A pleasant and almost safe route with forest ascent, magnificent panoramic views, hut stop and piste descent.
The route starts from the parking lot at the Hirnkopf chairlift heading south (left of the chairlift). After a few meters, take the first turn right and follow hiking trail 09 towards Haidnerhöhe. Follow the markings/tracks in the forest up to the tree line. The route mostly follows the Salzsteinweg 109 or the local hiking trail 157. After the tree line, you reach the Haidnerhöhe at 1,799 m after a few tight turns. However, you can also cross beneath Haidnerhöhe towards Hirnkopf earlier. There is a small descent to Hirnloch, for which it is not worth taking skins off. From Hirnloch, it is just a few vertical meters up to Hirnkopf at 1,840 m above sea level. This is also where the top station of the Hirnkopf lift and the Hirnkopf hut are located.
The descent is via the piste back to the starting point.
