Schwarzsee circular hiking trail

From the village of Afritz, you reach Lärchenboden via Verditzer Straße, where there are plenty of parking options. From there, this moderate circular hike leads to the idyllic Schwarzsee. The hiking trail no. 27 goes up to Schwarzsee via beautiful forest paths. After circumnavigating the small lake, you can refresh yourself at the Schwarzsee hut, which is open from mid-May to early October. Then take hiking trail no. 28, where after about 1 kilometer you turn right towards Steinhauserhütte. Shortly after the hut, you reach Verditzer Straße again, where you follow the uphill path back to the starting point.

The easiest way to reach Afritz is to take the "Villach - Ossiacher See" motorway exit and then follow the federal road towards Treffen and Radenthein. The turn-off to Verditzer Straße is on the left, in the middle of the village.

The starting point for this hike is not accessible by public transport.

You can park at the Lärchenboden parking lot.
