The Rauschelesee is idyllically located in the Keutschacher Seental nature reserve, which stretches south of Lake Wörthersee in a west-east direction. The Rauschelesee offers a small bathing paradise. Pleasantly warm bathing temperatures and the good water quality invite you to linger.
In the south, the untouched wooded slope of the Sattnitz ridge reaches right up to the shore. The reed and macrophyte belt of the lake has largely been preserved. Wetlands border the east and west shores, and agricultural land and the bathing area are on the north shore. A large campsite is located on the north-eastern shore of the lake.
Excellent bathing water quality. In limnological terms, the Rauschelesee is classified as a weakly mesotrophic lake type with little nutrient pollution. Its excellent bathing water quality offers carefree bathing pleasure. It is one of the warmest lakes in Carinthia, the epilimnion reaches summer temperatures of over 26° C. In the summer months, the water body is layered, so that the water becomes noticeably colder after a few meters in depth. In winter, the lake regularly forms a layer of ice, which is looked after by the Wörthersee ice skating club.
Free access to the Rauschelesee lake (approx. 500 m east of the lido)
