This loop is fully signposted, and can be followed in either direction from Chalonnes-sur-Loire or Angers. It's not particularly difficult, although there are a few changes in altitude at Savennières and in the Layon. Depending on your pace and desire for discovery, it can be completed in 2 or 3 days.

- Angers > Chalonnes, 29 km, signposted La Loire à Vélo (dir. Nantes), 60% on greenways - Chalonnes > Thouarcé, 28 km, signposted Anjou, vignoble et villages, 60% on greenways - Thouarcé > Brissac, 28 km, signposted Anjou, vignoble et villages, 60% on greenways. Thouarcé > Brissac-Quincé, 18 km, signposted Anjou, vineyards and villages, 60% greenways - Brissac-Quincé > Angers (via Bouchemaine), 32 km, signposted Anjou, vineyards and villages and La Loire à Vélo, 70% greenways.
