Montespluga Black Lake

If lakes could speak, the Black Lake would tell all its leaden aura and severity. This was also explained by the poet from Chiavenna Giovanni Bertacchi, whose works were often inspired by mountain scenery. The route lasting about 1 hour starts from the dirt road near the viaduct that borders part of Montespluga Lake, where the path climbs directly along the pasture. You walk along a diagonal, towards the Suretta waterfalls, and turn right to a small narrowing. From here you proceed along the edge of the slope, which forms the basin of the Black Lake (2310m), where the surrounding terrain is mostly rocky. In this wonderful lake it is possible, with the appropriate permit, to fish immersed in the tranquility that nature offers.
