You've longed for retirement for so many years. Later, they said, when you retire, you'll finally have time for all the things you've always planned for elsewhere. But suddenly it's there, being a pensioner, and quite a few newly retired people experience a real pension shock. It's like falling into a deep hole when you stop working. What to do with all that time? Without the usual routines? Even if this period of time is still a long way ahead of you, try to feel what it's like to look back with gratitude and look forward with optimism.
In Martinsberg, you walk down over the meadow and sawmill into the valley, pass Annagschmais and already have Pöggstall Castle in view. It is immediately noticeable that it is a few degrees warmer here in the valley. But it doesn't stay "down here": it quickly goes uphill to Braunegg, then back down to Raxendorf. There, the bathing pond provides cooling.
