Around the Schomberg in Wildewiese

From the parking lot at the entrance to Wildewiese, head towards the Schomberg with its widely visible observation tower. Follow the trail marker W2. Passing the Schomberg Tower, which you can climb (the view from the top is magnificent), the path leads to the end of the paved lane. Here, a path turns left, running under beech trees. An old wooden signpost indicates the (winter) hiking trail. When you reach another paved lane, turn left again. After about 100 m, a path on the right leads directly to the village of Wildewiese. This would be a good chance to stop for a break before the path takes you left, up the road, back to the parking lot.

The 167 comfortable steps up to the Schomberg Tower are really a must, but half of them are enough for a great view.
